Did You Know?

Asia is the largest continent in both size and population. It covers almost one-third of the world's land. About three-fifths of the world's people live in Asia. Asia stretches from Africa and Europe in the west to the Pacific Ocean in the east. The northernmost part of the continent lies within the frozen Arctic. In the south, Asia ends near the equator, where it is very hot. Asia is made up of 50 countries. Thousands of islands are also part of Asia. The continent has some of the world's largest and smallest countries in population. China has more people than any other country - about 1 1/3 billion. But several countries in Asia have populations of less than 1 million people.
