| WOW Presentation |
Carol Woodard presented the changing face of reference, with new websites, databases, and technologies. |

| Financial Report |
Marti Custer reported that at the end of the fiscal year, the library is under budget in all categories, so no transfers are needed. A motion to approve vouchers for June and certifying of claims was initiated by Tom Sweeney. Jan Bird seconded the motion. VOTE: Yeas, Ileane Thal Joan Heinicke Paul Vander Meer Jan Bird Tom Sweeney Ann Conigliaro Nays, None Absent, None Marti Custer presented the vouchers in the amount of $315,245.03, to Ann Conigliaro to be signed. |

| President's Report |
Ileane Thal said that recommendations for a community committee are still needed for the millage campaign. In addition, she asked Jan Bird and Paul Vander Meer to organize a citizen committee for the millage campaign. After that a Board member will serve as a liaison to the millage committee. The Board needs to review the process of evaluating the Director. |

| Friends of the Library | Warren Spatz had no formal report because the Friends' meeting has been changed to July 26th. | ||

| Finance |
Marti Custer said the proposed repayment schedule had been reviewed and approved by the city as adequate to repay the expected debt amount. |

| Building |
Paul Vander Meer said the committee had decided to move the presentation to the city commission to August 8th. |
||
| Personnel | Paul Vander Meer reported that the committee will create the personnel survey with the help of Marti Custer and the management staff. |
||
| Miscellaneous | The Board discussed the keeping of archives and records for local organizations. This is a decision controlled by the library’s collection development policy. |
||
| Public Comment | Dorothy Conrad said there is a law that the library is required to accept documents from organizations within the community and she wants the library to review the law. Also, the library should review the legalities of a millage committee. Seth Chafetz said review of the evaluation process for the Director must be held in an open meeting. He also said that the city doesn't send staff members out of state for conferences. Tom Sweeney said that during public comment only one person should speak at a time. Tom said that the library operates under a different governing structure than the city and that library services differ significantly from city services. Baldwin Librarians attend out of state conferences due to the scope and quality of the programs. Seth Chafetz commented that the public is entitled to question library expenditures. Dorothy Conrad encouraged the Board to listen to the public. |
