  Online job boards are great places to look for job openings, but they can also include individuals trying to take your money, find your information, or even steal your identity. Below are resources to help protect you during your job search.

Federal Trade Commission: The FTC has set up a website where you can find out about hte latests federal job scams and where you can file a complaint about a job scam.

Consumer Scam Prevention Tips: From the BBB, a listing of tips to protect you.
Internet Crime Complaint Center: Created by the FBI, the National White Collar Crime Center, and the Bureau of Justice Assistance, file a complaint or look for crime prevention tips and common schemes.
Federal Job Scams: Information on job scams for federal government jobs from USAJobs.gov, the official provider of Federal Government Jobs.

The Better Business Bureau has various websites about job scams, which might be helpful to you during your job search.
