ANCESTRYPLUS SUBSCRIPTION DATABASE

This subscription service accessed through the Baldwin home page. Click on ONLINE DATABASES; click DATABASES by SUBJECT; click on GENEALOGY. Click on ANCESTRYPUS. It offers 274 million records in 1,758 databases.   (Note: This service is not available through dial-in access.)   It allows access to census indexes, PERSI (the Periodical Source Index), DAR lineage books, UMI obituaries 1990-present, the unabridged American Genealogical-Biographical Index (AGBI), and many others. It now also offers "Images Online" , which allows you to view scanned images of original census documents online. (Not all census years are complete at this time.)  Please ask a librarian for assistance.

HERITAGEQUEST ONLINE

This subscription service accessed through the Baldwin home page. Click on ONLINE DATABASES; click on DATABASES by SUBJECT; click on GENEALOGY. Click on HeritageQuestOnline. It has over 25,000 family and local histories as well as the entire US census. In the family and local history books, every word is searchable, and every page of each book has been digitized and can be downloaded and printed. Other resources include Freedman's Bank Records (coming in late 2002).
