USING BALDWIN'S netLibrary eBOOK COLLECTION |

Patrons have access to several hundred eBooks available through netLibrary. In addition, Baldwin patrons are eligible to use thousands of older, non-copyrighted eBooks in netLibrary's "public collection" - including classic works by authors like Shakespeare and Homer. |
The core titles in Baldwin's netLibrary eBook collection are listed in the library's online catalog (catalog.baldwinlib.org). To obtain a list of netLibrary titles available through Baldwin, perform a keyword search of the library catalog with the word netlibrary. You can also go directly to the netLibrary site, log in, and perform searches there by author, title, or keyword.
To obtain a complete list of all eBooks in Baldwin's collection (including eBooks available through the Metro Net Lending Library), do a call number search for the word EBOOK?. A link is available in each bibliographic record that connects you automatically to the eBook web site.
Types of eBooks available through Baldwin are:You can read any netLibrary eBook while logged in as long as no other library patron is already using it. After 15 minutes without clicking on a link or moving through pages, the book goes back to the pool. Only one book may be viewed per patron. You can also check it out for 3 weeks and there is no need to return it as it disappears from the account after this time period (there are no overdue fines.) However, patrons do have the option of returning an ebook by clicking the return link that is visible below the title record on the "My Checked Out eBooks" list. If you wish to renew a netLibrary eBook, you may check it out again after the three week period is over or when the title is returned.
NetLibrary eBooks may not be downloaded to computers, but you are able to print or copy limited amounts of text.
