As the owner of SKBK Sotheby’s International Realty in downtown Birmingham, Doug Hardy has discovered that the Baldwin Library offers more than just books, DVD’s and exceptional reference librarians.

For the past year, Hardy has found the Baldwin Library to be the perfect venue to conduct his weekly staff meetings that typically number between 50 and 70 participants.

“Previously we conducted our staff meetings at another meeting facility but after I learned that Baldwin’s lower level had been completely renovated with a very nice meeting room and that it was a good value, I decided to support the library,” said Hardy. 

Besides Hardy’s realty company, several organizations, including the Birmingham Junior League, have rented the library’s meeting space that includes state of the art audio visual equipment.

Now that Hardy’s staff has had more exposure to the library and all it has to offer, the realty company has discovered another selling point for prospective homeowners.

“Our business recommends the library to our new homeowners because it’s really a great community selling point,” he says.
