Gifts and Memorials

Honor a loved one or friend in a unique and meaningful way with a tribute or memorial gift to the Baldwin Public Library. Books provide a living memorial for any occasion. Anniversaries, birthdays, graduations and retirements are all wonderful opportunities to show that you care.   In-memoriam or in remembrance gifts provide a lasting honor to someone who loved books and reading. Gifts to the Library are a wonderful way to honor family celebrations or other special events with a lasting gift.

Your donation will make it possible for the Baldwin Public Library to acquire significant and beautiful books that otherwise would be beyond its reach. The library staff will use your donation to select books in a subject area of your choice. We welcome contributions to our Adult, Youth and Reference collections. All donations to the library are tax-deductible.

If you would like to discuss gifting possibilities or to establish an individual endowment fund, please contact Library Director, Martha Custer at (248) 647-7339. Your gift can be structured to meet your family's needs.

Upon receipt of notification of your gift a letter will be sent to the honoree or to the family. A special bookplate will be affixed to items purchased this way, enabling the community to share in your recognition of another.
