Homebound ServicesHaving trouble getting to the library? We'll come to you with our homebound services, provided to anyone living, in Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, and Bloomfield Township. (Residents of the above communities living in retirement homes, assisted-living facilities, or nursing homes receive library service from the Bloomfield Township Public Library at 248-642-5800.) Baldwin can provide a variety of library material by mail. We can mail books, magazines, and audiovisual materials, such as videos and audio books. We'll keep track of the titles we send you so you won't get the same title twice. With this system you can reserve current material, such as best sellers, and we'll send them out when your name comes up. We can also send you a bag of material, including large print books, delivered by library volunteers. Your volunteer will call you in advance to arrange for a convenient time for delivery. When you've finished with your bag of books just call 248-647-1700 and press #2 (or ask for the Information and Reading Services desk). Whether you are temporarily or permanently housebound you can still keep up with the classics or latest in award winning biographies, memoirs, fiction and non-fiction hardcover or paperback books through Baldwin Library's outreach service to patrons. |
