Whether you’re reading for fun or doing work for school, the Youth Room has many great books for you!  Search the catalog to find what you’re looking for or ask a Librarian for help. And, each time you visit, make sure to stop by our "Baldwin Staff Picks" display to check out our favorites, old and new. You just might find a new favorite of your own!

YOUTH BOOK CLUBS

Youth Services has something for everyone, Kindergarten through 6th grade. Go to our Events page to see dates and details for upcoming sessions.

If you're in Kindergarten or first grade, come to our monthly K-1 Book Party! Share after-school stories, games, crafts, and snacks. Register by phone, online, or at the Youth Desk.

We offer monthly book clubs for kids in second through sixth grade. You can register at the Youth Desk, over the phone, or online.

Books Plus for 2nd-3rd-graders and their loving adults

The Youth Room regularly receives new books and other materials.  New books are always on display and available for checkout.  The new book area is located on the first set of shelves when you enter the Youth Room. 

In January 2008, the 2008 Caldecott and Newbery Medal Winner and Honor books were announced.  You can find them in the Youth Room! See the list of winners below. (Baldwin patrons had a Mock Caldecott Election on January 11th and chose Knuffle Bunny Too as their winner.)
