Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a program designed to encourage reading. Fourth and fifth grade students form teams with an adult coach, read from a selected list of six books, and then participate in a contest where they will compete with other teams by answering questions based on the books.
Congratulations to everyone who competed in Battle of the Books 2019 and a big thank you to all the coaches! This year’s winners are:
First Place: Savage Pagers from Quarton Elementary
Second Place: Bookie Monsters from Quarton Elementary, Theater Readers from Beverly Elementary, and The Page Burners from Pierce Elementary
Third Place: Fre Sha Vaca Do from Pembroke Elementary
