Book Sales happen every May and November at the Library, offering great opportunities to pick up wonderful titles at a great price. Each sale typically features over 10,000 books, from current bestsellers to classics and more. Are you a member of the Friends of BPL? Then you get to browse first at our Member Preview Night!
Upcoming Spring Used Book Sale:
Come check out thousands of books and media in great condition. Items for sale include paperbacks, hard covers, DVDs, music CDs, audiobooks, children’s books and gift-quality items. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the Library’s programs and services.
Friday, May 3 from 7 to 9 p.m.
• Member Preview Night
Saturday, May 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 5 from noon to 4 p.m.
• Half-Price Day
Monday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Bag Day — buy a bag for $5 and stuff it to the brim with books

Donate your Used Books to the Friends:
You don’t have to wait until our book sales to donate your gently used books. Our donation station is always open. During library hours, you can place your donations on the small cart in the lobby. For larger donations, please call the Circulation Desk at 248-554-4630 to make arrangements for staff to help you unload.
Friends of the Baldwin Public Library does not accept the following:
- Condensed Books
- Self-taped videos, audios
- Sets, such as Time-Life or American Heritage
